Footprints Academy Welcomes New Principal for 
2009/10 School Year

Footprints Academy is pleased to welcome Mr. Ed Cavin as our new Principal for the 2009/10 school year. 

The addition of Mr. Cavin to the Footprints staff is a welcome transition facilitating the partnership between Footprints Academy and St. Andrews. 

Cavin is a graduate of Harvard College and earned his M.A. in Educational Administration at the University of St. Thomas. He began his education career as an elementary grades science and math teacher at Breck School, then in Minneapolis, and later became a public school principal and independent school head. During a sabbatical with an independent school, Mr. Cavin returned to Harvard to be a Visiting Practitioner at the Graduate School of Education. Immediately before coming to St. Andrew’s Academy in 2006, Mr. Cavin had returned to the classroom as a fifth grade teacher. Outside of school, Mr. Cavin enjoys sailing and building projects at the family’s small farm.

Footprints Academy is a non-denominational private K-6 elementary school located in Woodbury, MN.  Benefits for students of Footprints Academy include:  small class sizes of only 18 students per class in grades 1- 6, a more home-like environment, one home room teacher per grade, and teaching specialists in Spanish, Science, Media/Technology, Music, Physical Education and Art.

Footprints Academy is currently enrolling students in grades K-6^th for the 2009/10 school year.
