As part of the overall Footprints Academy mission to grow tomorrow’s leaders, we feel character education is a fundamental element.

 

Outcomes of the Footprints Character Education curriculum are:

• Creating responsible kids who grow into responsible adult leaders
• Teaching tolerance in a continually changing and diverse world
• Building a caring student population
• Establishing lifelong skills in managing conflict and coping

Although Footprints Academy does not have any specific religious affiliations, faith and strong character education are foundational elements for our school. Multiple studies support the fact that social learning is just as important as academic learning. Children learn best in environments where they feel safe.

Monthly, all school themes focusing around character development such as; kindness, respect, responsibility, and citizenship, are integrated into assemblies, daily lesson plans, and impromptu conversations throughout each day.

Through intentional teaching, we bring the concepts to the children capturing the teachable moments and solidifying the concepts.
